The Hanseatic cities do not only meet once a year at the International Hanseatic Days, but also work together during the year on projects in the fields of

– Promotion of tourism
– Economic promotion
– Art
– Youth exchanges

For example, this website was created as part of a project of the EU Commission (promotional  programme COSME). For this purpose, the member cities of the Rhenish Hanseatic League, the Dutch Hanseatic cities on the Ijssel, the city of Kaunas (Lithuania) and the city of Kuldiga (Latvia) as well as other private organisations have joined to develop tourist offers for seniors.
